The REACT (Rockwell Educational Access to Computer Technology) Center is a non-profit organization set up to receive used computers from Rockwell Collins and other area businesses, refurbish them and donate them to area schools and non-profit community agencies that work specifically with children.
Established in January of 1999, The REACT Center grew out of the Rockwell Collins K-12 PC for Parts donation program.
Goals of the REACT Center
- Provide computers for students to use in the schools.
- Provide students and teachers with hands-on training in computer hardware.
- Promote a greater awareness for students and teachers, regarding the use of "real world" technology.
- Serve as a clearing house for accepting excess computer equipment from area businesses and donating refurbished computers to schools and other non-profit community organizations.
